Sydney
Shot between lockdowns, identity crises, and those long walks we all pretended were “for exercise,” (I don’t condone this as I am a healthcare worker…) this collection is a visual journal of Sydney—and parts of Australia—during a time when everything felt uncertain. Most of these were taken through the thick of COVID, during several spiralling life questions, and on days when I just needed to get out and feel something other than cabin fever.
It was a strange season: the world stood still, my thoughts ran wild, and Australia—quite literally—was on fire. Between the smoke, the silence, and the sudden obsession with sourdough, I found pockets of calm, odd beauty, and moments that reminded me why I reach for the camera in the first place. Through it all, one truth remained: I still call Australia home. Not just because of “that airline” ad buried in my psyche, but because even in disaster, this country has a way of holding you—scorched edges and all.
A collection that I am still adding to today
Shot on Nikon D5300 & Sony A6300
